On June 1, 2018, we celebrate one of the happiest moment: Alya’s 1st Birthday!
I still remember clearly, a year ago, we rushed out to the hospital after my water broke. And after 6 hours, she was born to the world. The pain of labor was excruciating but weirdly, I can’t remember any of it now.
I remember how worried I was that she hadn’t gained a lot of weight like other babies. I blamed myself for not being able to produce more milk. But look at her now, she comes to me and my husband at the sight of any food we eat. How she enjoys food now.
I remember how dismayed I was when she still hadn’t been able to crawl. But now, she effortlessly crawls and cruise around the house and we have to chase her everywhere.
And so on, and so on.
A year flies by.
Now that I remember it, even though I worry a lot, after Alya, our days feel happier and brighter. I feel like my life now is purposeful, for her. I still have a lot of things to learn to be a good mother and I’m sorry if I lose it sometimes, but I love you, Alya, always 🙂 I hope you grow up healthily and happily.
Here are the throwback pictures of Alya since she was born. How fast she grows!
